These Terms & Conditions apply to courses, private lessons, gift cards, books and other products or services purchased from inLanguage Boutique (“ILB”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By enrolling, purchasing or using our website, you agree to these terms.
Enrolment and payment
Course places are confirmed only after full payment has been received and ILB has accepted the enrolment.
Course places are limited. Adding a course to your cart, submitting an enquiry or discussing a course with ILB does not reserve a place.
Students are responsible for checking the selected language, level, location, timetable and course dates before enrolling. Students with previous language experience should contact ILB if they are unsure which level to choose.
Course cancellations and transfers
We do not ordinarily provide refunds where a student changes their mind, selects the wrong course, can no longer attend or experiences a change in personal circumstances.
A student may request to transfer a group, online or travel-course enrolment to the immediately following term by contacting ILB at least 24 hours before the first scheduled lesson.
A $50 transfer fee applies. Transfers are subject to a suitable course being available and payment of any difference in price.
Once a course has begun, enrolments cannot ordinarily be transferred, deferred or refunded.
Missed classes
Course fees reserve the student’s place for the full course. No refund or automatic credit is provided for classes missed by the student.
Where another suitable class is running during the same term and has space available, ILB may approve a catch-up class. Catch-ups are not guaranteed and must be arranged in advance.
Courses cancelled or changed by ILB
Courses require sufficient enrolments to proceed.
If ILB cancels a course before it begins, the student may choose:
- transfer to another suitable course
- credit toward a future course
- a refund of the amount paid for the cancelled course.
ILB may make reasonable changes to teachers, classrooms or lesson sequencing.
Where a significant change is made to the regular time, location or delivery format, ILB will contact affected students and offer an appropriate solution.
Private lessons
Private lessons may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Where less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, or the student does not attend, the lesson will be deducted from the package or remain payable.
Unless otherwise stated, prepaid private-lesson packages must be used within 12 months of purchase.
Textbooks and physical products
Textbooks are purchased separately unless expressly included in the product description.
Customers should confirm the correct language, level, title and edition before purchasing a book.
Eligible unused and unmarked physical products may be returned within 14 days of delivery or collection.
Books cannot ordinarily be returned for change of mind where they:
- have been written in, highlighted or damaged
- contain an activated or revealed digital access code
- are missing included components.
Please contact ILB before returning any product.
Gift cards and language gifts
Purchased ILB gift cards and specific language gifts are valid for three years from the date of purchase, unless a longer period is stated.
Gift cards may be used toward eligible ILB products and services. Where a purchase costs less than the available balance, the remaining amount may be used later.
Specific gifts, including private lessons, courses, courses with books, books and travel courses, remain subject to suitability, availability and the relevant product description.
Once a course or lesson gift has been booked, the usual course or private-lesson terms apply.
Shipping and pickup
Shipping charges and available pickup options are shown at purchase or confirmed by ILB.
Customers are responsible for supplying accurate delivery details.
Contact ILB if an order is significantly delayed, missing, damaged or incorrectly supplied. We will investigate and arrange an appropriate replacement, refund or other solution.
Student conduct
Students must treat teachers, staff and other students respectfully.
ILB may issue a warning, suspend attendance or end an enrolment where behaviour is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, unsafe or significantly disruptive.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
