Continue developing your French in a structured, supportive course for students who have completed French Advanced 5 or have equivalent knowledge.
You’ll consolidate key B1 grammar while developing more accurate and expressive communication. The course revisits past narration, explores when to use the indicative or subjunctive, and expands your ability to discuss cinema, emotions and detailed descriptions.

- combining past tenses in detailed narratives

- continuing discussion of cinema and film
- describing films, characters and performances in greater depth
- reviewing the position of adjectives in a sentence
- recognising exceptions in adjective placement
- expanding descriptive vocabulary
- revising the relative pronouns qui, que and où
- introducing and using the relative pronoun dont
- developing greater accuracy in extended conversation
Is This the Right Level?
This course is designed for students continuing directly from French Advanced 5.
You should already be comfortable combining direct- and indirect-object pronouns, using y and en, expressing emotional reactions and discussing cinema and films in detail.

Students continuing from French Advanced 5 will normally already have this textbook.
