Our online French courses are designed for adults who want the flexibility of learning from home while still following a clear course pathway. Lessons are taught live by experienced teachers, with a focus on practical communication, useful grammar, vocabulary and speaking confidence.
Online courses follow the same level structure as our in-person group classes, so you can start at the right level and continue progressing from term to term.
Online French Courses
How Online Courses Work
Our online language courses are taught live in small groups. You'll join your teacher and classmates online at the scheduled class time, with opportunities to ask questions, practise speaking and follow the course material together.
Classes run once per week over a 10-week term. You'll use the same course book pathway as our in-person classes, with lessons adapted for the online format.
Is Online Learning Right For You?
Online courses are a good option if you prefer learning from home, live outside easy reach of our Melbourne locations, travel regularly or need a class time that works better online.
You'll still be part of a real class, with a teacher guiding the lesson and other students to practise with.
Levels and Course Books
Online French courses follow our standard French level pathway. If you're a complete beginner, start with French Level 1. If you've studied before, check our French Course Level Structure or contact us and we'll help you find the right level.
French courses use the Entre Nous and Défi Actuel course book series. Course books are purchased separately from enrolment and are usually used across multiple levels.

Private French Lessons
If you're looking for one-to-one support, flexible scheduling or lessons shaped around your personal goals, private French lessons may be the better fit.
We arrange private lessons online and in person, matching you with an experienced teacher and a lesson time that works for your schedule.
