Complete the French A1 pathway in a structured, supportive course for students who have completed French Level 4 or have equivalent knowledge.
You’ll consolidate the foundations developed across the previous levels while expanding your practical French for shopping, clothing, food, restaurants and future plans.

- buying and selling a product
- talking about food preferences
- ordering and taking orders in a restaurant
- expressing quantities using partitive articles
- talking about future plans using the futur proche
- using the verbs savoir, pouvoir and devoir
- using direct-object pronouns
Is This the Right Level?
This course is designed for students continuing directly from French Level 4.
You should already be comfortable using common regular and irregular verbs in the present tense, asking questions, organising social plans, discussing work and skills, and talking about past events using the passé composé with avoir and être.

Course Book
The required course book is Entre Nous 1 and is purchased separately.
Students continuing from French Level 4 will normally already have the required textbook.
French Level 5 completes the A1 course pathway.
