Continue developing your French at C1 level in an established, supportive group for highly experienced speakers.
At this level, the course evolves from term to term rather than following one fixed unit or syllabus. The teacher selects contemporary topics, authentic materials and areas of language development according to the group’s interests and needs.

Is This the Right Level?
This course is designed for experienced French speakers working at approximately C1 level.
You should already be comfortable following complex discussions, expressing detailed opinions and communicating spontaneously across a broad range of topics.
Because this is an established proficiency group, students who are new to ILB should contact us if they are unsure whether the class is the right fit.
Course Approach
French Proficiency 8 is a continuing advanced class rather than a fixed textbook-based course.
Themes, materials and language priorities are refreshed each term by the teacher, allowing the class to respond to current events, Francophone culture and the evolving interests and needs of the group.
