You'll move beyond the present tense and begin discussing past events and experiences. The course also develops practical language for family relationships, possessions and everyday routines.

Is This the Right Level?

This course is designed for students continuing directly from Italian Level 3.

You should already be comfortable using regular and common irregular verbs in the present tense, asking for and giving directions, discussing holidays and transport, telling the time and using the modal verbs dovere, potere and volere.

Course Book

The required course book is Arrivederci! 1 and is purchased separately.

The same textbook is used throughout the five Italian A1 levels, so students continuing from Italian Level 3 will normally already have it.

Italian Level 4 covers Unit 8 and the first half of Unit 9 of Arrivederci! 1.
