Continue building your Italian in a structured 10-week online course for students who have completed Level 1 or have equivalent beginner knowledge.
You’ll strengthen your foundations while learning to discuss work, free-time activities, hobbies and personal preferences. You’ll also develop practical language for making suggestions, booking accommodation and handling simple problems while travelling.

- understanding the difference between bene and buono
- booking a hotel room
- making a simple complaint
- asking for and giving reasons
Is This the Right Level?
This course is designed for students continuing directly from Italian Level 1.
You should already be comfortable with basic greetings and introductions, Italian pronunciation, numbers, simple personal questions and building basic present-tense sentences.
Students with previous Italian experience can review the full Italian Course Level Structure or contact ILB for help choosing the right class.
Course Book
The required course book is Arrivederci! 1 and is purchased separately.
Students continuing from Italian Level 1 will normally already have this book. The same textbook is used throughout the five Italian A1 levels.
Italian Level 2 covers Units 3, 4 and 5 of Arrivederci! 1.
Learning Online
Lessons are taught live by an experienced Italian teacher, with plenty of guided speaking practice and opportunities to interact with your classmates.
To participate, you will need:
- a reliable internet connection
- a computer or tablet with a working microphone
- a quiet space where you can speak and participate
- access to the online meeting platform specified by ILB
A camera is recommended so you can participate fully in class.
