Build greater confidence and fluency in an engaging Spanish course centred on meaningful conversation.
Each term explores a changing selection of contemporary, cultural and everyday topics. Authentic materials and teacher-led activities provide a starting point for discussion, vocabulary development and more natural communication.

Best for: Students with an existing foundation in Spanish who would like more opportunities to speak and listen

Is this the right class?
This course is designed for students who already have a foundation in Spanish and would like more opportunities to speak, listen and build confidence in conversation.
You don’t need to consider yourself an advanced speaker. If you can participate in general conversations and are comfortable trying to express your ideas in Spanish, this class may be a good fit.
Students who are new to ILB are welcome to contact us if they are unsure whether this conversation class or one of our structured Spanish courses would suit them best.
Course approach
Spanish Conversation is a flexible, discussion-based course rather than a numbered step in ILB’s structured Spanish pathway.
Topics and materials change from term to term according to the teacher, current themes and the interests of the group. Classes focus on helping students communicate more naturally, expand their vocabulary and develop confidence through meaningful conversation.
No fixed textbook is required.
